The History

Vazisubani Estate consists of the vineyard, stretched over 35 hectares, restored wine cellar and the boutique hotel placed in XIX century palace. The history of this great place goes back to 1869, the year when Sulkhan Chavchavadze was born in the noble Georgian family. His main business and hobby was wine-making and viticulture. Sulkhan Chavchavadze’s wine cellar was restored after 140 years and now it is the place where the marvelous wine is made in a traditional way.

Vazisubani Estate has a rich history. Beautiful palace is surrounded by well-tended vineyards, gifting the best harvest for making wonderful wine. The palace is a monument of cultural heritage and considered as one of the best patterns of Georgian architecture. Currently the palace is turned to the boutique hotel, designed by the designers from the United Kingdom. The historic look of the palace facade was kept during the restoration.

The Company

Founded in 1891 by Georgian nobleman Sulkhan Chavchavadze, Vazisubani Estate hosts wine professionals and wine lovers. After 140 years our door is open to rediscover Georgian culture and identity once again in our special palace, the finest micro-zone vineyards and centuries-old gardens.

Our tradition of hospitality connects people who have close resemblance and generate new social connections filled with the love of wine and people. We connect those, with whom we have shared values and make our dreams tomorrow’s reality.

The company Vazisubani Estate was founded in 2013 with the idea to return to life the Estate created by Sulkhan Chavchavadze, to revive almost forgotten endemic sorts of vine and to advance to the new level the centuries-old culture of wine-making and viticulture.
